Next month, I’ll be starting a new section on my blog – Personal Stories. I want to publish personal stories of people living with bipolar disorder. So, it’s a chance for all of you to share your stories and get paid every month. The objective of publishing these stories is to build awareness while providing an opportunity for others to ask questions, and get help at the same time.
I’m doing this to provide support for others living with bipolar disorder. It’s also a great way to earn extra income if your in between jobs.
My goal is to upload and publish one story every single week starting July 2017. You will be paid every single month and the rate will be determined by overall engagement (please read below).
If you’re interested in sharing your personal struggle with bipolar disorder, please read the guidelines.
For you to take part in this paid opportunity, you must be over the age of 18 and be diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The longer you’ve been living with bipolar the better because I’m trying to share as much information as possible with others. However, you can also submit a story if you’ve recently been diagnosed.
The content should be between 1,500-2,000 words. It must include an introduction and conclusion. The tone should be as personal as possible. Imagine your writing a journal entry. Talk about your diagnosis, struggle, what you hate most or if there are any benefits of being bipolar. This is your own personal experience so be as detailed as possible.
The content must be in your own words. Any paragraph or sentence plagiarized will result in content being refused. If you add any inspirational quotes, please include a reference. There is NO deadline so take your time. However, I will be publishing stories in the order I receive them.
To help guide you in your writing, consider answering the following questions –
- Are you a male or female?
- When were you diagnosed with bipolar disorder?
- What were the symptoms you experienced before being diagnosed?
- Have you ever been admitted to the hospital, and why?
- What medications have you taken? Did they help? What were the side effects?
- What medications helped you the most? (please discuss dosage, and how you take them)
- How has bipolar disorder affected your life?
- What are you doing to get continued help? (support groups, programs)
Next, you might want to consider doing the following –
- Tell me more about yourself (name, age,). We prefer to publish names to keep content as personal as possible.
- Tell me about the struggles you have faced. How have you overcome them? (if you have)
- Tell me why you decided to share your story with everyone.
- Tell me how bipolar disorder has changed your life over the years
I have an in-house editor who will look at your content before it goes live. If changes need to be made, you will be emailed by my editor. The editor is simply looking for a well-detailed account of your experience with bipolar disorder.
After everything has been looked over and all changes have been made, I will send it back to you so you can have one final look before the story goes live. Your content will NOT be published until you have consented to the final copy.
When submitting your content, please include your personal image. I will add it to the content when publishing. I will also add it to the author bio.
The larger the image, the better. But, I will resize it correctly before uploading it.
Author Bio Guidelines
Send 2-3 sentences telling me a little bit about yourself. You can send over 1 link to be included with your author bio.
When your content is published, you will be paid a fixed rate of $25.00. Going forward you will be paid 0.15 per unique view your content receives each month (for 12 months). For example, if in July 2017, your content has received 1000 unique views, it will be calculated as follows – 0.15 x 1000= $150.00. If you receive 1000 views each month for 12 months, you would have earned $1800.00. My blog is growing each month so the number can be much more.
After publishing, I will share the content with my email subscribers and on my Facebook page. You can share the content too. It’s a great way to connect people with your own story and earn money for helping others.
I will be using Google Analytics with a custom URL tracker to calculate total unique views per month. You will receive a copy of the report too :).
Payment will be made at the end of each month using PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal, then set one up for free.
I can also send you a direct deposit using TransferWise. It’s quick, safe, and free.
Reply to questions received in the comment box below your content. I’m sure, talking about your experience with bipolar disorder will connect with others who face a similar struggle. They will have questions too. Please provide them the support they need. To avoid duplicate content, you will NOT be able to republish your story anywhere else unless permission has been given by me 🙂
